What We Cut
Our AMADA 4KW CO2 laser handles a wide range of metals:
- Stainless steel up to 12mm thick
- Mild steel up to 22mm thick
- Aluminium up to 12.7mm thick
- Maximum sheet size 1525 x 3050mm
We cut flat sheets as well as pre-formed sections where needed. If you've got a material that's not on this list, get in touch. We may still be able to help depending on the grade and thickness.
Laser Cutting vs Traditional Methods
Compared to punching or plasma cutting, laser cutting gives you cleaner edges that need less deburring, tighter tolerances on profile cuts, and no tooling costs for new shapes. If your part has intricate cutouts, small holes, or engraved markings, laser is the way to go.
For simpler parts in high volumes, punching can sometimes be faster and cheaper. We'll advise you on the best approach based on your part geometry and quantities. No point paying for laser if a punch press does the job just as well.
CNC Bending
After laser cutting, most sheet metal parts need to be bent into shape. Our CNC press brakes handle bending with high repeatability. This is important when you're ordering hundreds of the same bracket and they all need to nest together or mount to the same frame.
We work from your 3D models or bend drawings. If you only have a flat pattern, we can develop the bend sequence and confirm feasibility before production. Typical tolerances we hold are +/- 0.1mm on bend positioning.

Standard turnaround for laser cutting jobs is 3 to 5 working days for typical quantities. Rush jobs can be accommodated if our schedule allows. Let us know your timeline when you send your enquiry.
To get an accurate quote, provide your CAD files (DXF or DWG for 2D, STP or IGS for 3D), material specification, quantity, and any finishing requirements. We'll come back with pricing and lead time, typically within a couple of working days.
