Laser cutting for Singapore manufacturers

Sheet metal laser cutting is the first operation in almost everything we build. We cut clean, accurate profiles straight from your drawings on a 4kW CNC laser, then form them on press brakes for repeatable bends, part after part. Because the cutting, forming, welding and finishing all happen under one roof in Ang Mo Kio, your parts do not sit in a queue between suppliers and nothing gets lost in the handover.

We cut one-off prototypes and ongoing production batches for precision engineering, electronics, semiconductor and industrial automation customers across Singapore.

Most jobs land in the 1mm to 6mm range, which is what enclosures, brackets, panels and machine covers usually call for. Heavier gauges up to the maximums above are quoted on request and depend on stock. Tell us the grade and thickness and we will confirm suitability before you commit.

If your part is larger than the bed or longer than 2m, send the drawing anyway. Many oversized assemblies are better built as cut sections joined by welding, and we will tell you if that is the case.

Accuracy and repeatability

We cut and form to the tolerances on your drawing. What is achievable depends on the material, the thickness and the feature, so send the print and we will confirm what we can hold before quoting rather than promise a blanket figure that does not survive contact with 12mm stainless.

Three things carry most of the accuracy on a laser-cut part: nesting the profile so heat input stays even and the part does not pull, holding kerf compensation consistent across the sheet, and controlling bend allowance at the press brake so a flat pattern folds up to the dimensions you drew. Getting that right at the cutting stage is what makes assemblies fit first time downstream.

For most sheet metal work in the 1mm to 6mm range, laser cutting wins on edge quality, on how little finishing the part needs afterwards, and on the fact that changing the part means changing a file rather than buying tooling. That last point is why prototype iterations are cheap here.

File formats and what we need

We work from DXF, DWG, STEP and PDF. If your drawing is in another format, send it over and we will confirm whether we can open it.

A quote moves fastest when the file includes material and grade, thickness, quantity, bend directions or a folded 3D model, hole and thread callouts including any PEM hardware, and the finish you want. If you only have a sketch or a sample part, that is still a starting point.

Laser cutting is one step. Most parts leaving our floor have been through several:

CNC bending and forming

Repeatable bends on press brakes, up to 2m long.

Welding

Fibre laser welding for clean, low-distortion seams, plus TIG, MIG and spot welding.

PEM insertion

Self-clinching nuts and standoffs pressed in house.

Finishing

Deburring, polishing, engraving, hairline and non-directional buffing in house.

Assembly

Cut and formed parts brought together into finished sub-assemblies.

One supplier

Cut to finished part without shipping work between vendors.

Frequently asked questions

What is the thickest material you can laser cut?

Mild steel up to 22mm, stainless steel up to 12mm and aluminium up to 12.7mm. Most work runs from 1mm to 6mm. Heavier gauges are quoted on request and depend on stock.

What size sheet can you cut?

Our laser takes sheet up to 5 ft x 10 ft (1525 x 3050 mm), and we bend up to 2m long. For larger assemblies, send your drawing and we will advise on how best to build it.

What file formats do you accept?

DXF, DWG, STEP and PDF. If your drawing is in another format, get in touch and we will confirm.

Do you bend the parts as well as cut them?

Yes. We laser cut and then form on CNC press brakes, so you receive finished, bent parts from a single supplier rather than coordinating two.

Can you weld and finish the parts too?

Yes. Welding, PEM insertion, deburring, polishing, engraving and assembly are all in house. Powder coating, silkscreen and surface treatment are arranged through trusted partners.

What tolerances can you hold?

We work to the tolerances on your drawing. Achievable tolerance depends on material, thickness and feature, so send the print and we will confirm before quoting.

Do you take one-off parts and small batches?

Yes, from a single prototype through to ongoing production. There is no tooling to pay for on a laser-cut part, which is what makes low quantities practical.

How quickly can you turn parts around?

Turnaround depends on quantity, material and finishing. Send your drawings and we will confirm a lead time with the quote.
