Our Sheet Metal Fabrication Process
Every project starts with your drawings. Send us your 2D (DXF, DWG) or 3D (STP, IGS) files and we'll review them for manufacturability. If something doesn't look right or could be done more cost-effectively, we'll flag it before production begins. A quick DFM review upfront can flag issues that would otherwise cost time and money downstream.
From there, the process follows a straightforward flow: laser cutting, CNC bending, welding and joining, surface treatment, and final assembly if needed. We handle all of these in-house at our Ang Mo Kio facility, which means you deal with one point of contact from start to finish instead of coordinating between three or four different vendors.
Materials We Work With
We fabricate parts in stainless steel (grades 304 and 316), mild steel, and aluminium. Sheet thicknesses we handle range from 0.5mm up to 12mm for stainless steel and aluminium, and up to 22mm for mild steel. Maximum sheet dimensions are 1525 x 3050mm.
If your project calls for specific material grades or surface finishes, just let us know. We source from established local suppliers and can accommodate most requirements.
Capabilities and Equipment
Our shop floor runs an AMADA 4KW CO2 laser cutting machine and CNC press brakes that let us hold tight tolerances consistently across production runs. For welding, we do TIG, MIG, and spot welding depending on the material and joint requirements.
We also handle post-fabrication processes like deburring, powder coating, anodising, plating, and silk screening. Where needed, we do mechanical and electrical assembly so you receive a completed module rather than a box of parts.
Who We Work With
Over the past 30 years, we've supplied sheet metal parts and assemblies to companies across semiconductors, electronics, medical devices, food processing, and general manufacturing. Our clients range from local SMEs ordering 50 pieces to MNCs running production volumes of several thousand units a month.
We're comfortable with high-mix, low-volume work. The kind where you might have 15 different part numbers in a single order, each with its own material and finish requirements. That's actually our sweet spot.
Prototyping to Production
Need a few pieces to prove out a design before committing to a larger run? We do that regularly. Typical turnaround for prototype quantities (1 to 10 pieces) is 5 to 7 working days depending on complexity. Once the design is locked in, we scale up to production volumes with the same tooling and processes, so there's no gap between your prototype and production parts.
